L.B.A 2 Walkthrough

Note : This help is not intended to be used to play the game - only if you get stuck. There are many more things to do in the game, but these are the basic guidlines, which need to be completed in order to go to the next Act. The game will NOT BE FUN if you use this guide to play the entire game. All the fun things are not mentioned in this guide - only the absolutely necessary things.

  • ACT 1 : Starts with the rainstorm, and ands with the aliens landing
  • ACT 2 : Starts with the aliens have landed, and you taking off on a shuttle to Zeelich
  • ACT 3 : Starts with you on route landing at Zeelich and ends with you getting a red magic ball and call from Baldino
  • ACT 4 - Starts with the call from Baldino, and ends with you having a crash landing with Baldino in Otringal
  • ACT 5 - Starts with the crash landing at Otringal and ends with you finding a riddle in the burgermasters cupboard
  • ACT 5 - The most common part where people get stuck
  • ACT 6 - Starts with finding the riddle and ends with being advised to seek advice from Monk
  • ACT 7 - Starts with Being advised to seek help from Monk end ends with you on route to Volcano Island
  • ACT 8 - Starts with the arrival on Volcano Island and ends with you finding a secret passage at the back of the throne
  • ACT 9 - Starts with finding of the secret passage - and ends with you flying the Emporers shuttle to Otringal
  • ACT 10 - Starts with the landing of the Emporers shuttle in Otringal and ends with your confrontation with Funfrock.
  • Act 1

     
     


    You will find yourself in your home, and your girlfriend Zoé is kissing you like crazy. Unlock your door that leads to your old underground cave. The key is in the cabinet just behind you. Inside that room, pick up your magic ball, your holomap and 3 darts. Inside the house search all searchable cabinets, and get all the goodies they contain. NOTE : If you have full health or full magic, you will not be able to pick up the item. Read all the posters on the walls - they give very useful information. Zoé has also given you a quest - to find a cure for Dino Fly.

    Head for town, and go to the Pharmacy. Speak to the pharmacist, she will tell you that they have no cure. Her customer will tell you that she may have a cure. Just then, a man will come in and steal her umbrella. You have to get the umbrella back. Note - walk up to him from behind in DISCREET mode to do this. Give the umbrella to the customer. Go to the museam. There you can get more background history and information. In order to get your tunic and Sendell's Medallion, you have to climb in the window which is above the museum.

    Head for the weather wizard's hut - speak to the wizard. He will tell you he needs the Lighthouse Keeper. Speak to the elephant outside the hut - he will tell you that Raph the Lighthouse keeper was last seen near the cliffs. You are very close to the cliffs. Off one of the cliffs is a lower path which you have to get on - and a cave. Go inside the cave. You will see Raph the lighthouse keeper, and you have to free him. In a nearby hallway, there is a switch which you have to flick using your ball, as you can't get there. NOTE : A clover can be found nearby this hallway. Use Sporty mode to jump onto the broken ladder, and remember to press forward, otherwise he won't attempt to climb the ladder. You will need to use your ball again to flick another switch later, but in DISCREET mode, because the ball gets thrown higher to clear high walls/gates.

    You have to eliminate 2 small brown ugly things - the first one is easy hand-to-hand combat, but the second one is more difficult as it spits horrible green stuff at you. Try and hit him from a distance using your magic ball. Collect 2 keys from these people, and go through the gate. Watch out for the bird which swoops down. You will need to do a lot of jumping to navigate yourself around. Kill the big mother using your magic ball. Free Raph. Raph gives you a clover after successfully freeing him. Go out with Raph and meet Zoé who craps you out for playing games. Go with her to the lighthouse and watch the aliens land.
     
     

    Act 2

    You still haven't cured the Dino Fly. Go to the pier and purchase a ticket to Desert Island. Go to desert Island and visit Wizards house (mentioned by customer in act 1). The wizard is not there - but they reccomend the school of magic. Take the flask of gallic acid. Nearby is Baldino's house - visit him collect the part for the car, and take it back to Zoé on Citadel Island. Go back to Desert Island, visit Baldino again, and collect the walkie-talkie he forgot to give you. Collect the car from Zoé at the harbour. Drive to the Hacienda, talk to the drunk. Go to the ladies steam room, to lure the Hacienda owner out, and then climb to stairs to speak to the wise man. He will tell you the school of magic is in the Cemetary. Before going into the cemetary, use the car to get the yellow flower which is on top of a rock - you need to ramp from the same rocks that surrounds the cemetary.

    The entrance to the cemetary is locked, but there is a pathway to the left of the gate, between 2 trees. Once in the School of Magic, you have to get the key for the gate that is locked - a bit tricky, avoid the ghosts to get to the chest at the end. The chest is heavily guarded by a horde of fire throwing statues - use DISCREET mode to get by them. Go visit the dean of the school of magic and enrol - you need 120 kashes to enrol. To make this kind of money, use the balloon trick at the Temple of Bú described in "Tips and Tricks". Listen to what he has to say. For the blowgun test, as soon as you can fire towards a pilar, and keep on firing - a sequence will develop so that you can hit all the targets. Also, give the yellow flower to the dean - you have passed 2 of the 3 tests. Use the Horn of the Blue Triton to cure your dino-fly.

    Fly to the Island of the Slate to do your third test. Look at the map on the outside to get a rough idea of what the paths are that you can take. You have to make it to the end - seems easy enough - wait till you get inside. You will complete the test - go back to the school of magic to get your diploma. Find the wizard on his carpet, and talk to him - he will tell you about a wizard, and tell you his goods are only available to fully qualified wizards. Show him the diploma - buy the Wizards uniform and beard (50 kashes). Go to the Hacienda, speak to the alien who is standing in front of the Steam Room - say YES to his offer.
     
     

    Act 3

    On the space ship, find the translator so that you can understand what they say. Also have a look at the tourist console at far left of the top level. Once you land, follow them as they request, and get yourself caught. You are in jail with Joe - he will magically appear next to you and talk to you. A guard will summon his other guard to open the door, attack and defeat him, and leave your cell. Defeat the other guards. Free the Mosquibee, and he will tell you to leave via the back. Open the back door, and leave. Kill the robot on legs. Go via back through dog yard through doors down to shuttle bay. Watch out for guards - kill guards if necessary. Go to tower and get the key for the shuttle. Fly shuttle back home.

    Go to Zoé back home. Get item from baggage claim. Note - they key is accessable from a box, which you have to jump from the high conveyor to get to. Get back to School of Magic. Go to weather wizards tent. Dinofly to island accross from the Hacienda. Use jetpack to go into cave. Destroy 2 skeletons, and use crates to climb up to opening in wall defeat 2 more skeletons, and big creature. Get the spell of protection. This spell will work as long as you have a little magic, and will use all your magic up. To activate it, press "C". You may need this spell to get out safely. Go to the jetty that is near the pier, ring the bell. Get on turtle's back to be taken into the other cave. Get the pearl. Go back to Citadel Island - visit your neighbour - give him the galic acid.

    Go back to the wizards tent - use the pearl in the cauldron. Go to the sewers (from Wizards room). Need to run and jump from the bridge onto the building with the Sendell logo. Use the pyramid key in the keyhole (see map). Use the lightning spell to free the ball - you will need FULL magic to use this spell. Leave the room, and Baldino gives you a call.
     
     

    Act 4

    Baldino has just given you a call - go back to Desert Island. Go to the Temple of Bú - destroy all that stands in your path. In the temple of Bú change 2 signs so that the carriage goes down 1 level - change 2 more signs. Get key from box on shelf. Go through door defeat guards but don't ride on water. Get Key - defeat more guards get another key. Use protopack to go over electricity - defeat guard - get itinery token for shuttle. Board shuttle, use token. Code word is "Code Operation GREEN MOON". Find welcome building (only building which door opens). Unlock all other doors - circles with symbols on them. Read the map. Find the cell where Baldino is, and free him. Run after Baldino, and leave with him on shuttle. You will crash land on Otringal.
     

    Act 5

    You have just crash landed on Otringal. Jump accross the rocks, and use the Jetpack between 2 of the rocks with the slopes. Find money in nearby barrels, and go to the Casino - make more money by playing the one-arm-bandits. Make at least 150 zlitos. Go to town, and visit the pump attendant - he will tell you of an island. Go to the pier and speak to the old man take trip - he will take you to Celebration island - find the peddler. Use the air taxi to go to the Island of Francos. Buy a pick-axe. Use the pumps near the refinery to jump into the refinery. Go find the back door to the refinery - don't use the main entrance. You need to turn the wheels to regulate the flow of the steam - kill the workman as he swtiches it back on after you've switched it back off. You need discreet mode and throw ball to kill him. Navigate your way around the refinery - using discreet mode when necessary, and turning the wheels to regulate the steam.
     
     


    THE MOST COMMON PART WHERE PEOPLE GET STUCK


     






    In the second room in the refinery, a key sits behind some pipes. You have to get around the pipes to get to the key. Run and jump from the square just next to the elevator onto the grey wall that is inbetween the twin reservoir object. From there go down and left (twinsen's left, your right), and then up and right to get behind the pipes to get the key. Good luck!
     
     
     
     
     
     

    In one place it is so difficult, the only way is to use Discreet mode, and ducking. Some of the wheels need to be turned in a specific sequence to stop the steam, or minimize the steam, and some of the wheels don't do anything at all. Get the GazoGem from the room at the top. Beware! Some guards are standing behind doors and cannot be seen easily. Leave the refinery using the barrels to jump on.

    Go to the burgermaster's house in the City. Speak to his brother. Just next to their house is a small niche, go to the niche and get the key. Go back into the burgermasters house, and use the key on the object on the wall between the 2 dragons. You will get a riddle.
     
     

    Act 6

     
     


    You have just found the Burgermaster's Riddle. If you read the riddle carefully, you will realize that the parasol he is speaking of is the only palm tree in the town. Stand with your back against the palmtree, facing away from the refinery, and in sporty mode run 5 steps. Use the pickaxe in the patch of grass that is closest to the sea - approximately in the middle of the patch. Take the Gazogen back to Baldino. Go to the harbour casino, and try and get to speak with the big boss. Nobody will let you. Go backstage, and use the pillars to get access to the grate. The grate is controlled by the levers on the left. Speak to the boss. Go to the town Casino, and play the one-arm bandid on the far left close to the potplant, until you get the Key. Use the key on the golden gate which is beyond the golden arches. This is a good time to SAVE. Spin the wheel of fortune, and anihalate the two crocodiles using your magic ball. Pick up the key and unlock the door which becomes visible. Use the protopack to fly accross the river.

    Once outside, use the protopack to go right into the mountain path. Run like hell around the mountain to the Imperial Hotel. Don't try and attack the Emperor's guards, as you cannot defeat them. Enter the imperial hotel, and attack both the bellboy and the guard that comes to his rescue. Use they key to enter the locked part of the hotel, and see the person sitting beside the pool. Get the ring from him. Leave the hotel using the window in the room on the far right of the 3 rooms. Run like mad and defeat guards and head for the Twinsanian suvenier shop. Purchase the memory viewer just for fun. Show the shopkeeper the ring. Speak to ALL of the 4 dissadent leaders, and you will receive a lazer gun. It need a crystal to work.

    Go back to Celebration Island, and follow the path on the left around the volcano. You need to do lots of jumping tricks to get accross. Saving between every successful jumping effort will be reccomended. Don't forget you also have to jump to get to the ladders. Use the powerful proto-pack to get over the small pool of water. Use the pick-axe on the green crystal which can be mistaken for a plant. Time it very carefully before climbing back up. At the top, turn 90 degrees left, and jump to safety.

    Go to the Island of the Francos, and use the same entrance as you did before (jump the fence from pipes). Enter the MAIN building (killing guards if needed). Using your newly acquired lazer gun, kill the guards on the opposite side of the room, and also to flick the levers. The levers should be in position from left to right UP, DOWN, UP, DOWN. Both doors will open. Outside, kill guards just for fun, and get into the balloon. You will be taken to a platform in the middle of the clouds, there you must defeat the mercenary.

    Go down the elevetor, and in DISCREET mode, kill the guard and scientist, and flick the switches. Leave the building, and go completely around the mountain until you come to the wannies village. The village does not look very much like a village, but it is classified as one. Speak to the first person that you see. He will tell you to seek help from the Monk.
     
     

    Act 7

     
     


    You have just been advised to see the Monk. Closeby is a frog which you can kiss for 10 life points. Enter the village, and find the room where they offer you food. Take some firefly tart, and also the wannies glove. Give the tart to the old man, who gives you a key. Use the key to enter the Chappel, which is for some or other odd reason, guarded by fire shooting things, where unfortunately, discreet mode does not help. See the monk, and see the monk's housemaid. Go to the Cave (which entrance you passed earlier), and collect as many gems as possible - 7 I think is a fair amount as well as the Wannies Fragment Key.

    Go to the pier, which is in a structure that has a harp on (nearby the wannies village), and sing the song you have learned. Use the ferry to go to Mosquibee island. There find more gems, and talk to the mosquibee. Tell him you have to speak to his queen. Show the queen your dissidents ring as proof. You have to pass a test of worthiness. Stand in the top right corner, and use your ball to hit the rocks, and to grab your key when you get one. Use the key on the rightmost door - you will find a more powerful blowgun.

    Soldiers attack the mosquibees - how sad. You have to find your way out of the mountain (opening in wall of room leading from throne room). Run like hell around the path, collecting more gems. Enter the tent accross the bridge, and jump on the lift. Go around the little butte, and climb to the top. Use the wannies glove to repel the fireballs the giant flying wallrus throws, to defeat him. Grab the key and open the box which is nearby - you will get the Mosqubee key fragment. Go back the same way you came, and this time jump off the cliff to the bottom (please make sure you land on sand and not lava), or alternatively go though the mosqubee village and climb down the rope. Call the ferryman again, and this time go to the Island of the Volcano.
     
     

    Act 8

     
     


    You are at the island of the volcano. Find more gems, and navigate your way around to find the cave. You have to do lots of jumping tricks and flying maneuvers to get around. Speak to the escapted dissadints. Go back to the pier (as shown above) and call the ferryman again - note going back is easier than getting to the cave - just take a different route. Go back to the Island of the Wannies, and help the boy wannie who has hurt himself. He will give you another gem, and tell you where to find your queen. Go back to the mine, and this time jump on the conveyor belt (near the entrace after the fishdog).

    Jump on the conveyor belt, and jump through the hole in the wall at the top. Eliminate the operator, and ensure that the box lids aren't being shut down. Climb in a box, and you will come into another room. Climb onto the boxes, and JUMP onto the ladder. Climb up, and then JUMP accross to the other roof, and fall down into the hole - you will land in the queen's cell. Speak to the queen and get the Key. Using your magic ball, trigger the switch for the jail cell. Eliminate guards where necessary, and leave the building. Go back to the pier, and call the ferryman again. Go back to the Island of the Mosquibees. Climb up the rope, and find the throne room. Eliminate the guards at the throne room, and use the key on the hole in the throne to reveal a secret passage.
     
     

    Act 9

     
     


    You have just found a secret passage. Go through, and, oh joy, eliminate the guards that await you. Use the door behind the 2 guards, and defeat the flying fire breathing wallrus the same way you did before. Use your super jetpack to fly to platform with switch, and activate switch - it will open a door, but you have to hurry, as the door closes posthaste. Kill more guards, and climb the ladder. Now RUN to the side, and stand under the cannon that is closest to the ladder. Use your laser to defeat the 2 guards that are walking around with machine guns. Kill the right one first, then the left. Pick up the key, and run into the door before the cannons make swiss Twinsen out of you. Once inside, defeat the guards, and turn the wheel using the ball from a distance, and enter door that opens. Run past the 2 imperial guards, as you cannot defeat them, and turn the whell at the top of the room, and exit on the top left of the room. Use the machine gun to kill the fleeing guard, as you will get 4 Clovers. Remember to take the key!

    Climb over walls, and defeat guards once again. Open the door with the imperial logo - defeat guard and use the lift. Once downstairs, listen to what the Emporer has to say, slay technician in white suit, and GET OFF THE ELEVATOR. Kill the Emporer in any fasion you desire - he doesn't fight back. He manages to pull the lever - nothing you can do to stop it. Use his key to get the sword from the green and gold chest - defeat the guard that comes down in the lift. Take the lift back up, and tactfully defeat the other guards. Use your protection spell if you find it virtually impossible, because it is challanging! Go again through the doors to the imperial guards you ran past earlier, and defeat them. Use the key to enter the door on the top right. Go up the stairs, and get the itinery token. Leave the building, and board the Emporer's shuttle.
     
     

    Act 10

     
     


    You have just landed at the Emporer's Palace. Using your newly acquired sword, defeat the guards, and enter the building. Your objective - kill everything and find the room with the 2 headed monster - he guards the last fragment key. That room is on the far left of the building, through the double doors. Once you have the complete key fragment, go back to the harbour, and take a taxi to Celebration Island. There, place the key fragment on the funny altar in the center of the room.
     
     

    The Statue will rise up from the Lava, and the Dark Monk will appear. Listen to what he has to say. Using the pillars on the side of the statue to get onto the book - then jump onto the hand and run inside the hole in the arm. The most important things to kill FIRST are the groboclones with Rockets. Use the ball - HINT - They shoot over you when you are a certain distance towards them. Watch out for the other grobo's before positioning yourself to get the rocket launcher groboclone. Use the meca-penguins if necessary, and don't forget you have a protection spell!

    Find the Wizards, and switch OFF monitors in order 2, 1, 4 and 3. The magicians will help you open the gate to go up the lift. When upstairs, FunFrock will let the children plummet to their death - nothing you can do to stop it. Go down again - defeat the groboclone blocking your exit (further down), and jump down the hole. Destroy the groboclone with rockets for your key and run and open gate. Defeat the 2 groboclones in your immediate vacinity so that the door leading down will open. Defeat the groboclone with the rocket for your key, and defeat the other groboclones, and the one behind the gate - you may need your protection spell for this. If you have any meca-penguins, use them. Once you get to funfrock, defeat him as soon as humanly possible, and then concentrate on destroying his clones.
